Camp Berean Way is an overnight, Bible teaching camp for boys and girls ages 8-18. It’s a ministry of Calvary Chapel, a non-denominational church in Jackson Township. CBW was established in 1976 to give kids the time of their lives while making sure they know about God’s free gift of salvation! Our goal is to focus on the essentials of salvation. We want to present the positive, life-changing message of Christ’s love for us.

This year we’ll be renting the facilities of Camp CHOF in Dalton, Ohio, just west of Massillon. Camp CHOF offers a swimming pool, crafts, a challenge course with climbing wall, zipline, go karts, a giant swing, campfires, team games like volleyball/basketball, and so much more!  All meals and activities are included in the camp fee. There are NO extra costs!

For 2022, we are offering a 6 day, 5 night camp. Campers will stay in a cabin with other boys or girls in their age group, along with two adult counselors. Kids from ages 8-10 are Junior campers, 11-13 year olds are Rangers, and 14 and up are Seniors. Friends wanting to be in the same cabin must sign up for the age group appropriate for the youngest friend. Our counselors are volunteers from Calvary Chapel and other area churches; they give up time during their summer because they love the Lord and love kids. Most of our counselors are former campers and/or parents of campers. Two times a day, we have chapel — a time of singing and learning from God’s Word — that is specifically geared to each age group.

Camp Berean Way offers a great time of encouragement and fun, right before the school year starts. By the time we all go home, the kids are built up by a deepening relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and by the friendships they have made with the other kids and their counselors. CBW has made a difference in a lot of lives!
